You'll arrive at the Arripas waterfall, where there is a natural spring, about a 15-minute walk from your starting point. From there it is a 30-minute hike to the Ordesa meadow.

After descending several rocky slopes maintaining the rapids to your left, you'll arrive at the entrance of the 'Clavijas' of Cotatuero, a zone of rock face fitted with pitons.

The trail zigzags up the wall of the canyon until you reach a plain followed by areas of open pasture and rock. This trail eventually leads to the Góriz plateau and refuge.

The trail ascends along a rocky slope to the entrance of the cave situated at the foot of the 'Pico Anónimo'.

Taking the 'Brèche' as your point of reference, cross over several rocky expanses (glacial moraines) until you reach the ice cave situated at the foot of the Pico Anónimo.

You'll be able to see the Brèche from every point along the trail...

Take the trail leading out of the meadow towards the Cola de Caballo. After walking about 10 minutes, you'll see a fork to your left marked as the route to Cotatuero. Take this trail.

You must double back from the Ordesa meadow along the access road about 1 km until you reach the old 'Casa Oliván' and take the clearly marked trail that leads to the Cirque de Carriata.

You will now be hiking in an arid, rocky zone that is the key point in your ascent. If you plan to return by the same route, you should keep in mind that the descent will not be as easy as it might appear on the way up, mainly due to the steep slope.

To reach Fon Blanca, consult the itinerary devoted to the Añisclo Canyon.

You can also reach the Col d'Arenas by trekking N along the upper cornices of the Pardina ravine, basically doubling back in the direction from which you came at a higher level than that of the fajas.

Follow the trail over the footbridge that crosses the falls until you reach a bridge that spans the River Bellos. From there it is only a short walk up a hill to the hermitage of San Úrbez.

You can head north from here and climb the Suca and las Tres Marías.

At this juncture, turn right to return to Revilla. After a ten-minute walk, you will once again cross the Consusa ravine, from where it is a 20-minute stroll to the village of Revilla. From there you have only to return to your car in the parking area at the curve in the highway.

Following the river upstream, you'll come to the Escuaín Springs.

Follow the trail to the Balcón de Pineta (Pineta Balcony) until you reach the top of the waterfall (a detour of approx. 45 minutes).

Passing a wide couloir, you'll reach a large rock terrace know as the Balcón de Pineta.

From this point, descend via the trail (to your left) that will pass through El Felqueral. Stay on this trail, which will lead you to a camping area where you will find the descent trail. At this point you will have only a 10-minute hike to the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de Pineta and the Parador.

Trace your steps back to Rodellar to complete the excursion.

When you reach a series of wooden steps you will have reached the final stretch to Alquézar.

To return to Lecina from the Abrigos de Bafaluy, simply retrace your steps and follow the well-marked trail.

On the other side of the trail that you have just followed, continuing in the same direction, you'll find another trail leading back to Barcabo. This is the final leg of your trek.

The campsite takes its name from a nearby hermitage.

From this point you can take two very interesting treks that follow trails traditionally used by local people to cross the border into France.

The Puerto de la Madera is situated at an altitude of 2,550 m.

It is a 3-hour trek from Tabernes to the mountain pass, which is situated at an altitude of 2,458 m.

The ibón is situated at an altitude of 2,350 m below the Pico d’Eriste (3,009 m). This ascent takes 3 hours.

You will pass the lower 'ibón' (glacial lake) on your way to the Ibón de Sen, situated at an altitude of 2,350 m.

The trail ascends through the fields of San Mamés outside San Juan and leads up to the Puerto Sahún (2,005 m).

Almost the entire extension of this trail is forested, making it a perfect route during the warmer months of summer, although trekkers must be in good physical condition to tackle the steep incline of the terrain.

The zone is circled by practically virgin forests. Red pine growth covers the sunniest slopes and beech groves are abundant in shadier areas. Fir and black pine grow on the abrupt slopes of the highest elevations.

The Las Cambras Gorge, an extension of the Canyon of Añisclo follows the course of the River Bellos to link up with the River Cinca, is also located in this national park. A narrow access highway to the canyon follows the curves of the gorge, a remarkable preview of what's awaiting you ahead.

A deep cleft in the limestone bedrock, the gorge conceals the upper course of the river far below its surface.

This valley is a natural paradise abounding in endemic species of plants such as the bellflower, the Raymonda pyrenaica, a rare species of weeping willow; and Cipripedium calceolus, an exotic orchid commonly know as the lady's-slipper orchid.

This currently uninhabited valley situated on the border of the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park to the northeast of the valley of Ordesa contains the source of the River Ara.

The Pyrenees National Park in France protects a unique zone of exceptional natural heritage.

From the village you can set off for the Cirque de Gavarnie (1,375 m).

The Néouvielle Nature Reserve is home to more than 70 lakes, all of which are considered to be amongst the most beautiful to be found in the Pyrenees. The massif in which they are located is formed of extremely hard and impermeable granitic rock.

The trail slopes gently down to the íbon.

The trail will lead to a refuge and later to the Íbon de Bernatuara.

Atravesamos el puente románico para cruzar el río Ara y tomar el sendero que sale en dirección N hacia el puerto de Bujaruelo, pasando por entre bosque en fuerte pendiente, hasta llegar a una pilona eléctrica.

Es una banda rocosa muy característica que exige atención, equipada con una sirga. Después de una faja herbosa bajamos en pendiente moderada por una glera rocosa incómoda de andar, que nos introduce dentro del bosque, ya a orillas del río, y desemboca en la pista del puente Nuevo o de Santa Elena.

Desde el puerto de Bujaruelo tenemos la opción de ir a Sarradets y bajar a Gavarnie por "L`Echelle des Sarradets". Itinerario éste más técnico y espectacular con gran panorámica sobre el circo y la cascada de Gavarnie.

From Torla, you cross a bridge named for Lucien Briet and follow an easy trail to the Ordesa meadow.

Leaving the Parador behind and crossing the River Cinca, and keeping the cascades on your right, you trek through El Felqueral and return once again to the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de Pineta.
