DURING THE REPEATED GLACIATIONS OF THE PLEISTOCENE ERA, ENORMOUS SHEETS OF ICE MOVED THROUGH ORDESA AS FAR AS THE BROTO VALLEY, GIVING THESE VALLEYS THEIR CHARACTERISTIC 'U' SHAPE.
The zone is circled by practically virgin forests. Red pine growth covers the sunniest slopes and beech groves are abundant in shadier areas. Fir and black pine grow on the abrupt slopes of the highest elevations.

GENERALLY SPEAKING, THIS ZONE IS CHARACTERISED BY DENSE HUMID VEGETATION THAT IMPEDES THE FORMATION OF LARGE FORESTS.
The Las Cambras Gorge, an extension of the Canyon of Añisclo follows the course of the River Bellos to link up with the River Cinca, is also located in this national park. A narrow access highway to the canyon follows the curves of the gorge, a remarkable preview of what's awaiting you ahead.

Es una banda rocosa muy característica que exige atención, equipada con una sirga. Después de una faja herbosa bajamos en pendiente moderada por una glera rocosa incómoda de andar, que nos introduce dentro del bosque, ya a orillas del río, y desemboca en la pista del puente Nuevo o de Santa Elena.
